About Jeremiah
Jeremiah Workman is a Christian, a patriot, a husband, and a dad. And with your help, he will become your Representative for Ohio's 86th District.
Workman served as a United States Marine Corps infantryman whose remarkable military career includes a deployment to Iraq where he was awarded our Nation's second highest honor for valor, the Navy Cross. Born in Marion, Ohio, in 1983, Workman joined the Marines at 17 and served as a Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Among his many achievements, President George W. Bush invited Jeremiah to the White House to provide feedback on the effectiveness of our military strategy against the Iraqi insurgency.
Jeremiah's bravery and heroism during the Second Battle of Fallujah earned him the Navy Cross and the Purple Heart. He later became a sought-after motivational speaker and author, sharing his experiences and insights with audiences around the world. His book, "Shadow of the Sword", chronicles his journey as a Marine and the challenges he faced upon returning home from war.
Jeremiah's combat record and leadership make him a hero in the eyes of most Americans. After returning home, his battles were not over. Like many returning combat veterans, Jeremiah also faced struggles with PTSD. He has since become a vocal advocate for mental health support for veterans and their families. He has dedicated his life to raising awareness of the struggles that many service members face after returning from combat.
In addition to his advocacy, Workman has also worked at the Veterans Administration in Washington, D.C. and currently holds a leadership role for a U.S.-based international security contractor. He resides in Richwood, OH with his wife Jessica and their two children.

Workman supports law enforcement in aggressively tackling these issues and will make sure they have the resources to hire the best candidates and the proper training to their jobs.
